1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Lorekept, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
2. Description of Service
Lorekept is an AI-powered interactive fiction platform. Story content, characters, and outcomes are generated dynamically by an AI model in response to your choices. Free accounts get one complete short story per day; Premium accounts get unlimited stories and additional features. Features, limits, and available stories may change at any time.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Lorekept. If you are under 18, you confirm you have a parent or guardian's permission to use the service.
4. Accounts
You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under it. Provide accurate information when signing up. Let us know at support@lorekept.ca if you believe your account has been compromised.
5. Subscriptions & Payments
Lorekept Premium is an optional monthly subscription, billed through Stripe. The current price is shown at checkout before you complete your purchase, and your subscription automatically renews each month until canceled. To cancel or make changes to your subscription, contact support@lorekept.ca. Canceling stops future billing; amounts already charged are non-refundable except at our discretion.
6. AI-Generated Content
Story content is generated by an AI model and is not reviewed by a human before being shown to you. It may be inaccurate, unexpected, nonsensical, or occasionally contain content you find objectionable, despite our efforts to guide it. You engage with AI-generated content at your own discretion. Lorekept does not guarantee the accuracy, appropriateness, or consistency of any generated content.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: use the service for any illegal purpose; attempt to bypass usage limits or tier restrictions; attempt to extract, scrape, or reverse-engineer the underlying prompts, models, or system; harass, abuse, or attempt to harm other users or Lorekept; or use automated means to access the service outside of normal browser use.
8. Intellectual Property
Lorekept and its underlying software, design, and branding are owned by Lorekept. You may use AI-generated story content from your own sessions for personal, non-commercial purposes. We may use anonymized, aggregated data about how stories are played to improve the service.
9. Third-Party Services
Lorekept relies on third-party providers to operate, including Anthropic (AI content generation), Supabase (accounts and data storage), and Vercel (hosting). Your use of Lorekept is also subject to the practical handling of your data by these providers as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
Lorekept is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lorekept is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may stop using Lorekept and request account deletion at any time.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Nova Scotia, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
