1. Information We Collect
- Account information: email address and authentication data, via Supabase Auth.
- Gameplay data: your choices, story progress, and story state, so your stories can be saved and resumed.
- Usage data: basic technical data like IP address, browser type, and timestamps, collected automatically through our hosting provider.
2. How We Use Information
We use this information to operate and improve Lorekept, enforce free/premium usage limits, save and resume your stories, and communicate with you about your account.
3. AI Processing
When you play, your choices and story context are sent to Anthropic's API to generate the next part of your story. This processing is subject to Anthropic's own data handling practices for API usage.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We use Supabase (account data and database storage), Vercel (hosting), and Anthropic (AI content generation) to operate Lorekept. These providers process data on our behalf and may store or process it outside your home country.
5. Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. We don't use cookies for advertising or third-party tracking.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account and story data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion at any time (see below).
7. Your Rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting support@lorekept.ca.
8. Children's Privacy
Lorekept is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
